Nov. 6, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong-listed textile and garment company Crocodile Garments Ltd<0122> said its revenue was HK$432.08 million in the fiscal year ended Jul. 31, 2009, down 4% over the corresponding period of last year, sources reported.

According to the latest financial results, the company realized net profit of HK$143 million during the reporting period, compared with HK$21.22 million a year earlier. Earnings per share were 23.18 HK cents. No dividend was announced.

Gross profit was HK$252.35 million, down 8.1% from HK$274.49 million a year ago. Fair value gain on investment property rose from HK$10 million to HK$212.37 million.

Administrative expenses declined to HK$54.81 million, down from HK$57.39 million a year earlier.

The company said that consumer sentiment remains sluggish as the global economy will still be influenced by the outbreak of the financial crisis in the third quarter of last year.
