Guangdong provincial government held a meeting last week to arrange the foreign trade work of 2009 and summarize the experience the last year in this field. Guangdong Foreign Trade Information Platform is going to set up soon. The unused resource of the enterprises will be published online. It could promote the information communication and obtain the foreign orders in a group. The meeting also decide to set up Guangdong foreign trade pre-warning system and a database of bad credit importer and bank to reduce the lose and risk of foreign trade enterprises.
According to the latest survey from Guangdong Foreign Trade Bureau, the situation of 2009 is severe. It is difficult to make a further growth of foreign trade total amount. Wan Qingliang, the Vice Nomarch of Guangdong province, said there was still market demand. Guangdong had advantage in the competiveness of foreign trade. The customs data in last Nov. shew that the export of bag/box, shoes, cap grew at the rates of 64.2%, 30.1% and 21.5% respectively. Wan said although the Western consumers had less money than the old days, but they still need the clothes. We should compete the orders and win the benefits. |
