China will add logistics to its industry support plan to help ports, warehouse operators and shipping firms, sources close to the matter said on Thursday.
China had earlier said that its support programme would cover just 10 industries.
The assistance is aimed at helping what the government defines as its key industries weather a domestic economic downturn and a collapse in global demand.
The government has already announced support measures for the auto, steel, textile, shipbuilding and information technology sectors, offering a mix of tax breaks and funding while also prodding firms to consolidate and restructure.
