Spartanburg-based Zimmer Machinery Corp. has merged with The Patterson Group, Charlotte, owned by Bob Patterson since 1992.
Patterson brings many years of experience to the Zimmer team, as well as the portfolios of the following machinery companies: Italy-based Cibitex S.r.l., a producer of sanforizing and mercerizing machinery; Jaume Anglada Vinas S.A., Spain, producer of the Turbang continuous open-width tumble dryer; Korea-based Ehwha Glotex, a manufacturer of tenter frames; and Italy-based Daroitex S.r.l., a manufacturer of winding, packaging and inspection machinery. In addition to managing these lines, Patterson will handle knife coating systems and lines from Italy-based Matex S.r.l. and hotmelt coating and laminating products from Germany-based Lacom GmbH.
